Seeing Blind

Sometimes we refuse to acknowledge that which is so obvious. Call it Darwinism and the freedom of natural selection as the driving force for picking out the most favorable traits in any given species. Connection is a powerful thing, and I am not talking wifi, that brings two souls together. People are essentially characters in a film that is staged on planet Earth; each individual has some role in the movie be it an extra, supporting lead, or the main event. When nature is consciously considered, it can be observed that no matter what part we play, the attraction that can be felt (romantic or not) is what directs the script of life.

Even with the whole plot written out, there are moments where viewers are kept on the edge of their seats envisaging a fortuitous encounter. These unforeseen ventures may take different forms: the hero overcomes some life altering hurdles; two characters have a serendipitous love; or some massive revelation comes to the surface. Sometimes it is an amalgamation of these factors that make the plot more enthralling. Ultimately, the patterns of human behavior are running the show. Psychology is the director and as Shakespeare wrote, “We are merely actors with many entrances and exits in our time”.

The most recent epiphany that has come to mind is the enigma of people in general. Maybe at some point we all have to be a scientist and follow the method of collecting data to understand the specimen that come into our lives. Just like with evolution, people have traits that change over time. You can’t changes someone, you either have chemistry or you don’t. It’s not some complex scientific equation.
