The Funny Thing Is...

Sometimes there are moments that appear to be beautiful works of art that are meant to be admired; a stained glass window if you will. You could stare at them all day and wish time would freeze. Unfortunately, reality comes crashing in like a tidal wave flooding your bubble of bliss and shattering your rose colored glasses. It’s a cosmic joke; one that no one anticipates.

We tend to find ourselves walking down a path with many forks in the road, and it is when we stumble that we must get up and keep moving. Upon the original fall, there are pulsating pains that fade before the wounds show up. Those are the worst since just an instant before you were perfectly content. It’s no reason to be discouraged, on the contrary actually.

The fuel to your fire should not come from a spiteful spirit. It’s when we get hurt that we can flourish in ways that were not noticeable to us before. So next time life comes in like a wrecking ball to shatter your crystallized reality, embrace the pain and recognize that the funny thing is you have a new chance to save your dignity as well as become something greater.
