Sometimes a happy accident really does turn out to be the best thing that happened to you. Okay, hold up, that came out wrong. At some point in our lives, we have encountered a situation that makes us want to ball up our fists and swear out the universe; we think in the moment that our error for not saving an article, messing up a big case, losing a client is an enormous malediction from whatever higher power runs the world. What we come to realize after the fact, is that our mistakes in the moment become our stepping stones to the future. Reflection is the ability to recognize that sometimes the unplanned may produce a better product.

It is easy to identify what we don't want in our lives, but often time that leads us to oversee what it truly is we should add. Our frustration is a blinder that blocks out the light in a situation and creates distractions from our ability to think clearly. The path we start taking is the right one, as decided by our brain, but eventually someone or something comes to show us another way. Trying to pull the reins on the horse of life will only lead to you being bucked to the ground and getting hurt. That bruise teaches some kind of lesson, but wouldn't it have just been easier to ride along the trail? Then again, some people refuse to get back on the horse while others look it dead in the eye and give it direction.

When you can find the beauty in the animal, the response is vastly different. The course of all things run on two concepts: energy and matter. When you channel your energy into the things that matter, then you have mastered creating your own path. Not everyone will give you a pat on the back with a, "hazah, you are now successful and I want to be your friend!" Some might react like a snake in the grass while others might play nice just to be the snake in your boot. Again, it is just another instance where your path diverges and you use your compass to go in another direction.

Lassoing your emotions and thoughts is the key to succeeding in the Wild West of life. Sometimes your cattle is easy to heard and other days it is just a darn stampede.

. Either way, being able to see the road you have traveled makes the sand storm less of a danger.
